:  a chronic infectious disease of sheep and goats characterized by caseation of the lymph glands and occasionally of parts of the lungs, liver, spleen, and kidneys that is caused by a bacterium of the genus Corynebacterium (C. pseudotuberculosis)—called also pseudotuberculosis
